Lyon starred at age 14 in Stanley Kubrick’s film adaptation of Vladimir Nabokov’s novel. Sue Lyon appeared in such films as John Ford’s 7 Women, Night of the Iguana with Richard Burton, The Flim-Flam Man with George C. Scott, Evel Knievel with George Hamilton, etc. Having retired from films in 1980, Sue Lyon’s autograph is very uncommon. This books prints Nabokov’s own screenplay for the film which in many ways is quite different than the finished film. Fine in a fine dust jacket.

Original Autograph Letter Signed by John Nash: “Dear Sir: With reference to the reproduction of a wood cut of mine in a publication of yours the title I am not sure of - a children's Encyclopedia of Knowledge? At the time of publication I received a telegram from Mrs. Naomi Mitchison asking for leave to reproduce an engraving. I replied by telegram at this could be done by payment of a fee for reproduction. I cannot remember the amount I stated at the time but this is not important. some acknowledgment is due to an artist for the use of his work either by a fee, even nominal, or the presentation of the publication but I have so far received nothing. The fact that I received no answer to my telegram led me to suppose that Mrs. Mitchison accepted my terms - and I hear that the wood cut was used in the book. Can you give me give the matter your attention? Yours truly, John Nash”. Fine condition.
