One errata leaf printed on red paper stock bound in. Cont. dark green morocco, gilt stamped Russian title to front cover, all edges gilt. Endpapers lined with white glazed paper with a moiree pattern. Oblong folio (495 x 400 mm). Extremeties worn and rubbed, front cover discoloured, spine evenly sunned and spine-ends bumped. Rare large-format work with magnificent depictions of horses with KVK and OCKC showing only four copies (ÖNB, Madrid, NYPL, and Chicago) with 31 plates only (?). A number of the thin letterpress leaves with short tears else fine. The author was a master of the guard.
