Beautiful Album Amicorum of a young noble girl : Virginie de Guizelin (1795-1874). She was 17 years old at the beginning of the album. Virginie de Guizelin was a boarder in the educational house for girls of Madame Lorphelin,at 10 rue Boissy-d'Anglas in Paris (she gives a list of her classmates) : the French nobility received there the best possible education "an education of duchess" & Madame Lorphelin was then the rival of Madame Campan. The notebook contains several pencil or pen drawings and a watercolor representing her family's castle in Guînes (Pas-de-Calais), as well as testimonies of friendship from her fellow boarders or her friends, also mostly noble girls.
