This is a beautiful book with a front end sheet inscription from a teacher to her student, signed in 1914. The mylar cover has preserved the book, which had gold leaf inlaid title, and still shows remnants of gold leaf. Also, the cover features a water color pink rose. The dark green cover shows minor wear around the base and edges on the cover and back of the book. The front end sheet is pulling away from the binding but the pages are clean and crisp but are showing yellowing from age. The book's spine has pulled away from the binding and needs repair. This paperback book shows wear and a small crease in the back cover at the bottom left side. While the binding is tight and mint, the pages have some dog ears, and the cover is work along the edges. The spine shows that the book has had many a read, as it is a bit crinkled but not in a fragile state whatsoever.

This rare hardback book is in fair condition and showing a compromised binding, as you'll see in the photos. The cover, while intact, h a 1/8 inch tear at the base of the spine on the front. As well, it is rough around the top edge at the spine and top right corner, and shows wear and rubbing. The back jacket has a 1/4 inch tear at the top edge. The pages are clean and crisp but show underlining and highlighting on pages 1 to 6. The front end sheet has an inscription and a gold label from the Astara Lodestar Retreat Center.

This perma-bound hardcover book is in good+ condition but the cover shows some mild disfiguration from the plastic coating of the perma-bound process coming loose in a very tiny area at the bottom left corner of the front cover. It appears that this was a library book, and in taking off the library plastic description/ number the plastic peeled away on the back cover as well. It is still intact but bubbled up. This is a former library book with an inscription in the top right title page. As well, the front end sheet has a library card and stamp. The book is in sturdy, crisp, clean condition with not marks, creases or stains on its pages.
