Illustrated with a frontis and four full page illustrations on glossy paper. One of the books in a four title group of girls' series books written by Elia W Peattie, a very well known Chicago writer. Reilly & Britton also published the L Frank Baum books and all the rear ads are for books written by him. Much of the white color chipped off the front cover--wear through at all four tips--spine top pulled--spine bottom worn--free front end paper missing. GOOD. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.

Original book copyright dates range from 1917 to 1920 but I believe this set was published around 1930 or so. Publisher number 1395 on the box bottom.
