Description:
Philadelphia: The Enterprise Manufacturing Co. Of Pa., 1898. 79, (1) pages. Second edition. An interesting advertising cook book in that the pictorial ads for Enterprise appear occasionally among the recipes rather than all in one section--ads for Enterprise coffee mills, food choppers, meat choppers, cherry stoners, ice shredders, raisin and grape seeders, and (of course) sad irons. The book is in about very good condition: clean and tight, with somewhat faded covers a faint stain in upper margin of title page... Second Edition. Paperback. About Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Book.

Description:
New York: Worcester Salt Company, 1910. 32 pages. Written by the editor of the Boston Cooking School Magazine. Precedes a more common 1931 Worcester cook book. Harvard University Library suggests a publication date circa 1910, but an ad for iodized salt on the rear cover suggests post-1924, the date generally accepted as the first use of iodized salt in the United States. An interesting question for the buyer to research! There are no salt-free or low sodium recipes in this cook book. The first ad claims that Worcester has more sodium than any other brand, and the first sentence on page 3 proclaims, "Food withou salt would not keep you alive." The book is in very good condition: clean and bright, with a tiny chip out of the bottom corner of the front cover... First Edition. Paperback. Collectible-Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Book.
