Brown cloth binding with blindstamped designs in front and back cover, gilt titles on spine, illustrated end papers. Scrubbing and fading of cover, light edge wear, corners and spine ends bumped, interior pages bright and clean, binding tight. Illustrated yellow dust jacket with black titles on front cover and spine has some soiling, small chips along edges, two closed tears at top of back cover and one short closed tear at bottom of back jacket cover, not clipped.

Some wear to cover, corner creases, corners and spine ends a bit bumped, notations on end papers, interior pages bright, binding tight. Trade paperback, measures 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches.

A huge history of Stanley's travels in Africa, including an account of his discovery of Dr. Livingstone, discoveries, founding of the Congo Free State and much more. Red cloth binding with titles in silver on front cover and spine, decorative end papers. Cover is much worn and stained, silver faded and rubbed, corners and spine ends bumped and chipped, hinges weak and showing webbing at front hinge, interior pages lightly tanned with some staining, binding otherwise tight. The plates are lovely and show a fascinating glimpse of early Africa.

Tan boards with illustrated pastedown on front cover and black titles on spine, illustrated end papers. Book is worn, scrubbed with a few stains, edge wear, corners and spine ends bumped, wrinkles in boards, hinges weak showing webbing, inscription facing title page, a little staining of interior pages which are a bit tanned, binding tight other than hinges.
