A yearbook for Denison University for the year 1909, including the usual student related information, as well photos. Included are photos of members of the football, baseball and basketball teams. Provenance: from the collection of Ambrose Swasey, with his bookplate and signature. Swasey was an engineer, inventor and astronomer, perhaps best known for his firm that built astronomical observatories around the world. His bookplate depicts the 36 inch Lick Telescope. GOOD condition. Minor spotting and staining to the covers. Minor soiling and fading. Some scuffing and bumping along the extremities. Light toning to the paper, with offsetting on pages opposite tipped in photos.
