No Place: No Publisher, 1977. Spiral Bound. Good. Assumed published by the Chicagoland Dalmatian Club in Chicago circa 1977. Stiff card covers, tri-folding, spiral bound. Approximately 400+ pages. Divided into three sections, each bound separately (and bound together as a whole), this work provides the standards for Dalmatians, including photos, as set by the AKC. Another section is devoted to the pedigree of various male Dalmatians, with the third section devoted to female Dalmatians. These sections also feature photos of the various dogs. In GOOD+ condition with minor to moderate soiling and scuffing to the covers and along the spiral binding in the interior. Minor edgewear. Interior clean and solid with minor darkening along the extremities.

A reissue of "The Sportsman's Vade Mecum" of 1856, containing material not in that work on dog breaking, although this is a later printing of the reissue (first published in 1857, this published in 1873). 663 pp. With a few illustrations. A detailed guide to the raising and training of dogs for hunting, as well as for their general care, with chapters on a few specific breeds. GOOD condition. General fading, some scuffing, minor discoloration and soiling. Extremities scuffed. Owner's signature on the first endpaper. Minor toning in the interior. BAL 8158.
