Lightly shaken, hinges tight, 1 plate beginning to come loose. Cloth is bright, one owner's name with 1925 date. The work was originally issued in 1954. Since then, Wright Howes continued to read, research and explore new data for an updated version of his reference on Americana. He thus made literally thousands of entries in his personal copy which included corrections, updates, additions, deletions, and improved bibliographical description. Here, then, is the culmination of his efforts. Howes added approximately 125 new titles and deleted about 50.
