The test uses a series of cards bearing geometric shapes to assess visual-motor function in both children and adults, and can be used to screen for developmental disorders, psychological and neurological disfunction.Originally published in 1938, the Bender Visual Motor Gestalt test was widely used in educational and aptitude testing. It was adapted for use by the US Military during WWII (when this set of cards was published), but its lack of psychometric validation and inconsistent administration among practitioners has diminished the test's value in clinical settings. Included here are the complete set of cards and instruction booklet; self-administer or simply admire.
