Sharp corners. NO owner's name or bookplate. Text is clean, crisp, and unmarked. 1939. First Edition. The standard COOKERY/GASTRONOMIC BIBLIOGRAPHY. With about 70 illustrations, including many title page reproductions. This comprehensive bibliography describes some 6,000 books from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Detailed bibliographic information is provided for each entry. Many entries are annotated as well. Considered to be the most important reference in the field. Bound in the original blue cloth, stamped in shiny gold over a brown morocco leather spine label (rubbed). Sheehy EH118. Winchell P363. Heavy Hardcover. 7.25" wide by 10" tall by 2" thick. Weighs more than the 4 pound overseas limit with sturdy packaging.
