The book has been dedicated to Jane Richardson and signed by J Wigham to front endpaper, reading 'Jane Richardson, from her affectionate cousin, J Wigham', dated 12th Month 9th 1835. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Binding remains firm. Ownership plate to front endpaper. Occasional thumb-marking. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Small splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Faint white marks to rear board. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.

Comprising of an engraved title page and seventy six full page plates. Collated complete. In full cloth decorative binding. Externally very smart with shelf wear to the edges and spine. Some light fading to the spine and a few marks to the boards. Hinges are starting but still very firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with spotting to the plates and some offsetting to the front blank opposite the engraved title page. Date to the engraved title has been rubbed out by a prior owner.
