Exterior shows quite a bit as spotting and scuffing. Interior pages are toned due to age and foxing is present with the end pages being severe. A very lengthy gift inscription that goes from the front end page to the frontispiece (five pages) presenting this book on Christmas, 1872. The reason for the low condition grade is the rear end pages have been torn out. All text pages are present and last page present is 184.
