Cracking and chipping to spine and to both front and rear joints, though they appear to have been glued at some point and all holds quite firmly. Soiling and staining to margins of prelims, contemporaneous owner names to front free-endpaper, including original 1860 owner Anne J. Price, and subsequent nineteenth century owners Susan H. Jones and Stephen Paschall. Some ink offsetting from these owner names, and a bit of marginal staining, to the title page. A few pages with light pencil marginal tick marks.
