Bound in half black calf over dark green cloth, gilt stamped spine, light yellow endpapers, dark red cockerell edges. Lacks spine; rubbing and stains to covers; slight bumping to corners; lacks most of preliminary page (half-title?); front free endpaper and title page with small holes and creases; few previous owner's markings in pen and pencil throughout (chiefly to front endpapers); slight internal browning to edges; else a fairly serviceable copy.300 Engraved Illustrations.
