This copy belonged to the Harlem Renaissance poet Countee Cullen, with his ownership signature on the front free endpaper. Several poems have blue pencil checks in the margin, sometimes next to the title; other times next to a specific line, like "But a brook that runs over and nibbles its shadow" (p. 63).
