The final, revised edition of the first substantial treatise expressly devoted to the English solicitor; with chapters on all royal courts, the Exchequer, the Court of Requests, the Sheriffs Court, the Marshalsea, the Star Chamber, and the Court of Admiralty. The title of solicitor was then to the courts of equity what that of attorney was to the courts of law but in effect the two were often combined. ESTC R214733, Wing B3738D..
