First edition hardback, VG- with soft head and bump at heel, some slight general wear to boards, and the faint trace of what appears to be a beverage ring to the front boards themselves, otherwise sound but, alas, lacking the dj. Normally I wouldn't carry a jacket-less book like this, but it's one of the rarest of Wellman's YA historical novels, following the adventures (based very loosely on a few snippets of historical fact) of an Englishmen and an Irishman left behind from Columbus' expedition to the new world. Recommended.

Near fine in original black cloth and near fine pictorial dust jacket, lightly worn at the corners and head of the spine, and with a short tear at the top of the front panel, hardly visible.
