SOMA: Divine Mushroom of Immortality by R Gordon Watson, published in a deluxe edition w/ slipcase by Harcout, Brace & World Inc in 1968. This is the large paper limited edition w/ slipcase, including leather spine and colored prints. Book is in very good condition with the exception of damage to the head of the spine and slight wearing to the bottom. Pricing well below other copies, which are typically found between $1000-1700, to account for this and take into consideration any repairs the buyer may like to have done at their discretion. Title and author on the spine are unobscured. Pages and page ends are extremely bright; binding is strong; slipcase is solid though does show normal wear; covers are bright with normal wear.

In a very good dust jacket (price clipped) with slight soiling to extremities and a couple of areas on reverse, and a small tape repair at top of spine. A comprehensive study of the Amanita Muscaria hallucinogenic mushroom, with many illustrations including several color plates. A very nice copy of this scarce title.
