Bound volume of this monthly magazine including two pieces by Theodore Roosevelt, "Fellow-feeling as a political factor," and "Military preparedness and unpreparedness;" "My Debut as a Literary Person," by Mark Twain; "Signs of Progress Among the Negroes," by Booker T. Washington; "Dinah Kneading Dough," by Paul Laurence Dunbar; an illustrated article on explorations in Antarctica, including a map; a three page poem by Marian Warner Wildman accompanied by page decorations and a full page illustration by Maxfield Parrish, etcetera. GOOD condition. Leather heavily scuffed and faded along the extremities, spine and hinges. Corners bumped and worn. Minor fading and soiling. Whitish paint spots to the rear cover, with some gouging in the leather corner from insect wear. Owner's signature present. Former booksellers' pencil list of contents on the second endpaper. Text block toned.
