Inscription reads, 'For Harry/who helped us so/magnificently to put/these stories over the/air/With love/Marjorie/& Eddy'. Harry is Harry Rogers, who was a BBC producer. Edward 'Eddy' Ward (1905-1993) was a broadcaster, journalist, writer and war correspondent with the BBC. Marjorie Banks (?-1991) was a writer and producer. This book relates their travels in a car specially fitted with recording gear as they journeyed together through Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Scandinavia in the aftermath of the Second World War.
