Description:
Not Stated: Not Stated, 1944. Cloth. Good. 7.5" by 10". Walter Trier. A very scarce copy of this illustrated verse from Czech-German illustrator, Walter Trier. Very scarce work. Brightly illustrated throughout. A story, written in verse, about a couple and their growing family. In the original verse, the little boys all disappeared at the end. In this new edition, the author decided to bring them all back again to make the story much happier for the readers and the characters. Written and illustrated by Walter Trier, a Czech-German illustrator, best known for his work for the children's books of Erich Kästner and the magazine Lilliput. In the original quarter red cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. The odd mark to the boards. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and handling mark. Good
