Gilt titling (Mavor's Five Hundred Points of Husbandry) on a red leather patch to compartment two. Aem. 8.75ins x 6ins, marbled endpapers, 36pp, xl, 338pp. Mavor has based this edition on those of 1580 and 1585 and he has added explanatory notes and a glossary. There is also a list of previous editions in the preliminary dissertation and a biographical sketch. Top of spine rubbed. Previous owners name and date of 1890 to verso of front free endpaper. Also remnants of a label, otherwise a VG attractive copy.
