Black and white picture pasted to the rear paste down. A sound copy and with clean text. Color and with black and white illustrations. Undated, but there is a 1952 prior owner's inscription on the front paste down.

From the Britain in Pictures series. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards are bowed, as is the book as a whole. Spine is slightly sunned and foxed. Gilt is bright. Book has a moderate forward lean.

Binding fim; beige boards with still-bright gilt lettering and ornamentation are fine except for one knock to upper corner of front board, in general well protected by charming pictorial d.j. showing a bird perched among berries and a butterfly hovering over--clean but with asome edge wear at corners and at crown and foot of spine panel.
