Octavo (7 11/16 x 5 1/4 inches; 196 x 133 mm). [1]-37, [1, blank], [1, colophon], [5, blank] pp. A large hand-colored initial at the start of each of the three pieces. Printed on Crown & Sceptre paper. Publisher's quarter cloth over marbled paper boards. Boards slightly beveled. Spine lettered in gray ink. Edges untrimmed. Boards lightly browned, and edges very lightly rubbed. Overall about fine. "These pieces were read, in February 1947, at Harvard University under the auspices of the Morris Gray Fund; they were first printed in Partisan Review for May 1947, & appear in the present edition by arrangement with Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., publisher of Mr. Stevens' Harmonium, Ideas of Order, The Man with the Blue Guitar, Parts of a World, & Transport to Summer." (Introduction). Edelstein. HBS 68426. $4,250.
