Hardback bound in green simulated leather-covered boards with gilt titles and decorations. Only flaw to note is a slight bow to the cover; internally clean, tight and unmarked. Book is SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the half title page. Formed by C. E. Wellesley with four friends to form a men's club consisting of "congenial spirits from the East". The name was meant to suggest that the membership of thirty should include rural sheep and cattle people of El Paso County and nearby Pikes Peak.
