Green clothbound with gold print, spine has sunned to a darker green. Some brown stains on front and back covers. Normal shelf wear. Rip in binding near bottom of the spine has been repaired..

The frequent coming and going of these wild birds has given the Author the opportunity to watch them and write this book. There is a pen inscription inside and the cover is a little worn around the edges

Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Heavy water staining to front panel. Mild tanning to spine. Moderate rubbing and marking all over.

No inscriptions.A bump to the lower rear board corner and a bump the front lower board corner with associated bumps to the text block corners - not heavy. A little rubbing to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine with some slight loss to the tail. Slight spotting to the rear endpapers.A very good copy of what is an early impression.

Country Life 1951. Lg quarto hardcover (VG-) in d/w (G-) very scruffy jacket, heavy foil residue to pgs 68-69- text block mostly covered; all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples.
