Description:
Melbourne: George Robertson & Co. [1907] Muir 1903 and 1904. Oblong Octavo Size [approx 22.8 x 18 cm]. Very Good condition. Some light rubbing to corners and spine ends and edges. Appears to have acquired new endpapers at some stage. Previous owner's name to half-title page which has the fore edge neatly cut. A couple of light marks to boards. Black & white frontispiece and 30 full page black and white drawings and in-text black & white drawings by Ida S. Rentoul (later Rentoul Outhwaite). Foreword by Ethel Turner. 2nd issue of the first printing with the corrected 'Ride on a Comet' on page 53. 184 pages. Contains 8 stories. Tarella Quin [1877-1945] was a highly successful writer of Australian fairy stories. She later published under her married name of Tarella Quin Daskein. Ida Rentoul, later Ida Rentoul Outhwaite was the famous Australian fairy illustrator. . 1st Edition, 2nd printing. Hardback.
