Index (incorrectly?) states that it covers June-Dec. 308pp. Bound without original magazine covers in full-calf, with gilt ornamentation to borders, gilt lettering to spine, and owner’s name in gilt on front cover. Marbled endpapers. 7 hand-colored illustrations, 3 of which are fashion plates, the others embossed decorations, etc., plus 9 steel-engraved plates (opposite pp. 1, 2, 49, 97, 140, 146, 193, 253(2), the one opposite page 253 with 1” tear, just reaching illustration). The un-colored fashion plate, opposite p. 145 has a 2” closed tear, affecting male figure; there is an accompanying tear to following page, with no loss of text. Covers are moderately rubbed, spine gilt affected but still legible, however, front hinge cracked yet binding remains sound, the text and illustrations with just occasional light foxing.
