Jacksonville: published by R. Goudy, 1834. First edition, 12mo, pp. viii, 376; contemporary full sheep, black morocco label on spine; bookplate of the railroad baron, James J. Hill, Hill library stamp in title page; accession numbers neatly eradicated from spine, joints a little tender; all else good. "Much of the information for this work was gathered as a result of Peck's extensive travel over the state and from personal interviews with citizens familiar with their counties of residence" (Byrd 191). Graff 3232; Howes P-170.

Contemporary bookplate indicating that the book was donated to a college by the Reverend Sherwood in 1841, later owner name, label remnant on the spine, else an attractive, very good or better copy. Inscribed by the author: "Rev. Adiel Sherwood with the respects of the Author. Sept. 1841." *BAL* P170.
