Murrow, cameo biographies of forty-six cast members, and illustrated throughout with color photographs. Around the World in Eighty Days is producer Michael Todd’s acclaimed film based on Jules Verne’s classic novel, directed by Michael Anderson, starring David Niven, Cantinflas, Shirley Maclaine, Robert Morley, Noel Coward, Trevor Howard, Charles Boyer, Marlene Dietrich, Buster Keaton, Evelyn Keyes, Jose Greco, and other stars in guest appearances. A lightly handled copy with some edge wear and some small tears, hardbound with glossy paper covered boards. Michael Todd was married to actress Elizabeth Taylor, and was killed in a plane crash shortly after his Around the World in 80 Days won five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

Description:
New York: Impact Photo, 1956. Vintage photograph of actress Elizabeth Taylor with her date for the evening, producer Mike Todd, at the premiere of Todd's film "Around the World in 80 Days," on October 17, 1956, at the Rivoli Theatre in New York. Impact Photo stamp on the verso. Taylor and Todd were married four months after the New York premiere. The couple spent much of their first year together celebrating and promoting the film. On the first anniversary of the film's release, Todd threw a party at Madison Square Garden, attended by 18,000 people, and featured on a 90-minute CBS telecast. Taylor and Todd's relationship, while typically tempestuous, was the only one of Taylor's seven marriages to not end in divorce-Todd died in a private plane accident in March of 1958, just over a year after their marriage. 10 x 8 inches.
