Externally spotted but internally very good copy of this well-produced 1970 printing of Mante's account of pre-Revolutionary battles in North America, especially the French and Indian Wars. Maroon buckram cloth with gilt spine lettering, 542 pages plus numerous fold-outs, no dustjacket as issued. Covers spotted and streaked, internally much better with good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, no names or other markings. Mante was an assistant engineer during the Siege of the Havana, and Major of a Brigade in the Campaign of 1764. There is a great deal of detail regarding names of ships, regimental command structure, etc. . Cloth. Fair. 8vo (10.25" x 6.75").
