Philadelphia: John C. Winston & Co, 1894. Salesman's sample. Hardcover. SALESMAN'S SAMPLE. A hardcover book bound in decorated teal cloth. Acceptable condition. Corners wearing through, edges heavily rubbed, and cloth splitting along the spine Endpapers chipped and tanned along the edges. Binding weak, but holding well enough to be handled. Text clean. A very worn copy, but still an interesting artifact. Salesman's sample copy; does NOT contain the full text. The back cover is a sample of the leather binding option, and a flap inside the front cover is a sample of the cloth spine for the full edition. Order blanks in back (several pages' worth have been filled out). Contains many fine black and white engravings.
