Description:
Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc., 1929. Descriptions of Keating's extensive Conrad collection, many signed or inscribed or including letters; with facsimiles of letters & manuscript/typescript pages. Important reference for any serious Conrad collector. One of a few more than 501 copies printed - the limitation calls for 501, of which 425 were for sale - this example numbered 507 - typically extras would be printed to ensure the full edition; then destroyed or otherwise dispersed by the publisher. Stout hardcover, full blue cloth, bevelled boards, front cover medallion, paper spine label (an extra label is tipped in at the rear, should you wish to refresh). Shows some wear, corners rubbed & frayed; spine and parts of covers tanned & mottled, minor stains; endsheets lightly tanned/smudged. Text clean; xvi, [450] pages + colophon; drawings, b/w photos, facsimiles.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8" by 10½".
