INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, TOSHIKAZU KASE, high-ranking Japanese diplomat who took part in the signing of the treaty of surrender on the USS Missouri in 1945. Kase was also Japan's first ambassador to the United Nations. Inscription reads: "Mr. Frderick Moore -- With deep appreciation for his understanding of and friendship for Japan, The author, Toshikazu Kase, September, 1951." Possibly inscribed to the Frederick Moore who authored "With Japan's Leaders." Book has light soiling, rubbing, and age toning and lightly bumped corners. Dust jacket, now in protective mylar, has sunning at spine, and light rubbing overall. Minor edgewear includes small tears and chips that are somewhat more pronounced at extremities.
