Johnson was the co-founder of Victor Talking Machine Company and the leading producer of American phonographs for a time. Bruns J-31: "Very limited edition, quantity not known." Callahan "Partial Tarpon Bibliography," p. xiii: "Certainly the most attractive tarpon book, both in typography and design, and a particularly fine binding ... a rare and handsome book."
