A gold gilt portrait of George Washington is in the center of the cover. Heavy surface and edge wear to the cover. Water damage near the corners. Heavy scuffing to the spine, causing most of the cover there to chip away. Discoloration along the bottom edge of the front cover. The corners have been bumped. The boards are exposed in the corners and along the edges of the cover. The cover is beginning to fray where the boards are exposed. There's a tear in the top left corner of the front cover that runs half way down the spine. The netting and binding is exposed in this tear. Both hinges are broken with exposed netting and binding.
