Pages remain clear with minimal tanning, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine.

Very good + blue cloth hardcover with gilt letter shows just a touch of soil to covers and a couple of rub tears at front pastedown where a bookplate or something was taken out, else tight and clean. 185 pages +. Still a nice copy of this collection of work from the popualr and beloved poet.

Text is clean and unmarked in a square and tight binding. only defect is minor age-toning. Volume appears unused. Gilt lettering is bright. Frontispiece photo of author included. From Introduction, "Edgar A. Guest is in my judgment the finest force in America, in defense of the home. Reilly & Lee, 1926 Poem "Thankfullness" pasted on front pastedown. "A Young Man's Prayer pasted on rear endpaper. Neat owner's name on front endpaper. Interior is clean and tight with slightest bit of toning.

THEY appear to be black thin hard cloth with gold lettering and decoration. Edgar did not get critical acclaim but he got loud acclaim from the radio listeners. What began on a small local radio station to fill some time with a couple of poems, propel Edgar to a national audience. These books only have credit to him and only him. And looking thru these he was a poet of different styles, and subjects. A few poems here and there have pencil underlinings, the paper is the thin, bonded type. And each copy has an index in the rear. Mostly over 175 pages and the index extra pages. I bought these for my Great Grandkids aged 6,4,2 and 1. In hopes, one or more will expand their minds and maybe write songs that will enrich their pockets. I have plenty of books so if these sell maybe the money will do them better
