The boards are fairly firm, flat and quite clean; edges worn; spine and corners a little frayed. Tanned vertical strip on front free end papers; name of previous owner in pencil on front free end paper. Slightly marked cut edges. The text block is tightly bound, straight and some pages are lightly foxed. "With 358 illustrations, including 8 coloured plates", one is frontispiece. Good conditon. Rare edition. Without jacket.
