Original blue cloth, gilt titling to the spine. There is some staining of the rear board, some foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block, and several of the tissue protectors are creased. Overall, this copy is in good condition.

Contains 62 plates, 47 are in color all with multiple images. One of 650 numbered copies signed by the author. Only 150 copies were sold, the rest were pulped. Plates illustrate scent bottles, bonbonniers, etuis, seals, and statuettes made at the Chelsea Factory & Derby Chelsea in the 18th century. Leaf size: 12 x 9 1/2 inches. Interior is clean and page block is tight.

The volume is tight, bright and clean except for the small neat book plate of Anne Edgerly Thayer. The dust jacket is mostly Very Good with a few chips around the edges.
