Very good. 4 volumes, publisher's red cloth gilt, very good, spines dull and a littled rubbed and darkened, first volume SIGNED by Freeman in his small neat hand (not inscribed). All volumes have "A" on their copyright pages signifying first editions, and all volumes bear the ownership signature of a Henry L. Walker, place and date on the endpaper. Two of the volumes' rear endpapers are tanned from the loose insertion of newspaper reviews of Freeman. Winner of the Pulitzer in 1935.
