Description:
New York: Ladies Home Journal, 1909. First edition. Unbound sheet. Good (creased across, various short tears, handling wear). Fisher, Harrison. Original magazine ad, the third in a series advertising Fisher's illustrated book The American Girl Abroad. Ca. 11 x 16 inches, removed from the magazine. One spirited girl drives the jaunting cart, while her male passenger admires the other passenger, a girl in white with ostrich feather hat and parasol. An alert collie rides along. Fisher was a highly popular early 20th-century illustrator. Despite its flaws, the ad would still mat and frame up nicely. A fun addition for the tack or carriage room.
