Top edge gilt, two-color illustrated frontispiece and title page, tissue guard, illustrations, black and white and color illustrated plates, index. The covers are lightly edgeworn, speckling to the bottom edge, and a very faint damp stain to the bottom of the back cover, one of the first pages is partly detached from the binding and there is a previous owner's inscription on the first page.
