He was one of the founders of University College London and a prominent Dissenter. Frontis portrait and 5 further plates. Brown cloth with gilt titles to spine is very clean and neat. Endpapers are tanned. Dust jacket has some dust and finger marks to the cream background and is rubbed to edges with two chips which have been stabilised by archival tape to the reverse of the dust jacket.
