Chicago, Ilinois: R. R. Donnelley & Sons, 1949. 1949 Lakeside Classic . Hardcover. Near Fine/None. Volume itself has red cloth covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine and a sharp gold emblem on the front cover of the Lakeside Press. 381 pages with an historical introduction by the renown historian, University of Chicago PhD., Milo Milton Quaife. Top of the page edges are gilt and outer edge and bottom of the pages are deckled. The illustrations in the work have a tissue guard in front of them that are intact with no tears. There is only the very slightest wear at the head and tail of the spine and the corners of the covers. Book itself is protected in an archival quality clear cover, easily removeable, if desired. A very nice copy of an increasing scarce Lakeside Classic; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
