Chronology, Chapter XXIV p. 345-370; 1860 (New Hampshire family history through 1894, May 10th through Nov. 30th). H.H. Holmes is reportedly an alias for the Chicago Fair serial murderer Herman Webster Mudgett. Few titles remain in the original of which this is one.

1896. Hardcover. Fair to Good. This is a true detective story of what was considered the greatest crime of the century. Written by Detective Frank P. Geyer of the Bureau of Police, Department of Public Safety, of the City of Phildelphia. The subject of this story, Herman W. Mudgett (aka. H.H. Holmes), was a serial murderer in Chicago during the time of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. It is a 1896 hardcover book. The cover is in fair condition, with considerable wear, especially to the spine. The front hinge is partially split but still holding. The text is clean and the binding is basically tight. A very interesting and quite rare book.
