Description:
Peter Fenelon Collier Publisher; NY. Hardcover. Good. 0x0x0. This is 1891 edition of all ten volumes in this 10-volume set of James Fennimore Cooper's complete works; wood-cut engravings--each frontis. has tissue guard; boards and gilt lettering match the photo shown and read "Cooper's Works;" paper strong and not brittle but mildly age-toned and sometimes quite foxed; volumes vary in condition, from very good to poor for vols. 1, 2 and 10, possibly the only volumes read--their gutters are cracked and the spines badly abraded--vol. 1 and 2 have the only markings--the name of the former owner on front paste-down in small elegant hand. Rebinding would probably greatly increase the value of this set. Contents: v. 1. The Deerslayer. The Pathfinder. The Pioneers.--v. 2. The Last of the Mohicans. The Prairie. The Spy.--v. 3. The Pilot. The Red Rover. The Two Admirals.--v. 4. The Sea Lions. Afloat and Ashore. The Water Witch.--v. 5. The Crater. Miles Wallingford. Homeward Bound.--v. 6.… Read More
