Tall octavo, three volumes, xvi, 325; xiv, 240 pages and xxii, 368 pages. Pictorial card covers slightly rubbed; an excellent set. The first volume covers the period to 1945, the second from 1945 'until the attainment of Northern Territory self government (1957) but also includes some subjects which could not appear in Volume One', and the third 'has as its focus people whose careers flourished from 1978 to 1990 but it also includes many lives that belong to an earlier period' (Prefaces).
