Boston: Little, Brown & Co., 1854. Hardcover. Very Good. 239 p. + frontis illustration with tissue. 4 1/2 x 7 in. Dark brown cloth binding, gold printing on spine, some volumes in this series with label " Bound by B. Bradley and Co. Boston". Condition of each volume is VERY GOOD: wear and soiling to covers, corners lightly bent, spines chipping esp. at ends- top end esp. heavy, light chipping to covers, edges of text block darkened- top edge a bit more so, pages clean- first and last few pages lightly foxed- frontis foxed, bindings tight.

George Bell & Sons, 1894. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1894. Reprinted. 244 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Rough-cut pages. Light thumb marking, foxing and moderate tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pen inscriptions to front free endpaper. Light cracking to gutters; some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Paperback / softback. New.

GB: William Pickering, 1831. Clean tight text has been fitted with new endpapesr and rebound in original covers but with a new spine of rather bright blue hue and modern title label. Bookplate. A very good working copy but NOT for the collector. . Hardback. VG/No DW.

Boards are marked, with two small chips at the front fore-edge. Board edges, corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Page block is tanned, blemished and foxed. Spots of foxing noted on most of the pages, however this does not affect the legibility. Several pages are uncut at the upper edge. Binding is sound and pages are otherwise clear. LW. Hardcover.
